Conor Rush created Starving Artists because of his passion for the arts and desire to support those who keep the industry alive. Conor started supporting other artists with their BA and MA work, and after receiving much positive feedback, he knew he wanted to keep helping. By creating The Opportunity Table, Conor provides artists from all over with prestige tutoring, awarding resources, and quality creative opportunities.

Exec Director, Oxford Character Project

With a B.A. degree of Modern History from University of Oxford, a Doctoral of Philosophy degree from University of Oxford,  Edward remains loyal and prolific in his current work as Executive Director of the Oxford Character Project at University of Oxford, an interdisciplinary initiative that focuses on character and responsible leadership, and researches their intellectual and ethical aspects. His philosophy research focuses on hope and especially on how we might understand the virtue of hope in late modernity. Edward is also the Co-founder of the SDG Impact Lab, and was selected by Thinkers50 as one of 30 up-and-coming thinkers to watch in the field of business and management.

Grace Lee Baughan has had a 30-year professional journey in broadcast sports and news, media, and entrepreneurial initiatives. A  long time ago in a land far away, she entered the world of broadcast TV, reporting sports and news for network affiliates in Washington, D.C., Minneapolis, MN, Hong Kong, and nationally in the USA for ESPN where she contributed to various programs, including the flagship, "SportsCenter.” Switching playing fields, Grace later helped co-found the academic center, Faith and Global Engagement at the University of Hong Kong. Then in 2020,  the most creative work in her vocational journey came to life with the founding of Be Still Media. Grace is inspired by the heart of Be Still Media represented in her colleagues who comprise the team and its volunteer corps of incentivizors who champion creatives with dedication and lively generosity.

Hailing from Malaysia, King is Be Still Media’s first 1st Place Winner! He is also a multifaceted artist whose work has been showcased at the Academy-accredited Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia, Cinequest, and San Francisco DocFest. Currently based in San Francisco, he is affiliated with Electronic Arts, where he has garnered significant recognition for his editorial contributions to The Sims 4 game trailers, accumulating millions of online views.

Originally from California and Connecticut, Kristine has enjoyed a 26 year career as an international banker, with stints in 9 countries across Europe, Asia and North America. Since 2020, she was responsible for Europe and led her team's response to Brexit, the Russia-Ukraine War and the ensuing energy and inflation crisis. She has a Bachelors of Arts degree in Political Science with Honors from the University of California, Berkeley. Kristine is married to her husband, Glen, and has two wonderful children, Tully (26) and Hannah (22), both adopted in Hong Kong.

With over 30 years of experience in sports public relations, Meredith has experience that includes founding her sports PR company, Meredith Communications, serving as Senior Vice President of Communications for Tandem Sports + Entertainment, teaching  Sports Media & Communications at Georgetown University and American University, and her current work as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Sport Management at George Washington University. Meredith is also on the Selection Committee for the Washington DC Sports Hall of Fame, Advisory Council of Washington University’s Sports and Entertainment Business Advisory Council, and serves on the board of directors of Be Still Media, the advisory board on OnBalance Health, and the board emeritus of Paul Rabil Foundation and Leveling the Playing Field.

Page has contributed to theater, script development, and film production in Hollywood. She grew up on stage, performing and directing theater and vaudeville productions in the U.S. and Europe. graduated with honors from the University of Pennsylvania in mathematics, from Harvard with a Ph.D. in literature and poetry, and with a Master’s degree in Creative Writing from Boston University. She has studied at the Playwrights' Theatre in Boston and has contributed to theatre, script development, and film production in Hollywood. Page currently directs the Hong Kong University MA in Creative Communications, and MFA in Creative Writing. Page is also the founding director of the HKU Guild.

Peter is a global portfolio manager at Harding Loevner (NJ). His previous investment management experience includes Rockefeller & Co., Inc (NY, London, Paris) and Chase Manhattan Bank (Indonesia, NY).  

Peter Co-founded Be Still Media with endless enthusiasm for the people and purpose that it serves.  His passion for the arts begins with poetry, with a nod to T.S. Eliot. If you want to have a long and meaningful discussion with Peter, tell him you read Four Quartets (but you have to actually read it).  He will take it from there!

Medium Rare Restaurants

Tommy currently co-owns and co-operates the Medium Rare restaurants in Washington DC.. Tommy is a founding partner of Beyond CEO Coaching which focuses on coaching Black CEOs to success, and  is also the CEO of MacGregor Capital, LLC.. He has served on a number of for-profits and non-profit boards to include the Starlight Children’s Foundation and the Appalachian Trail Conservancy, and is also an incentivizor/judge for the non-profit Be Still Media. Tommy has been a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) for over twenty years including many years of leadership on the local and regional Boards. Outside of work, Tommy is an ultra-marathoner and has run in the Army Ten Miler in Washington DC for sixteen consecutive years, and he qualified for and ran in the Boston Marathon at the age of fifty.

Tracey is a 9-time Emmy and Edward R. Murrow-winning journalist turned real estate developer and investor in the Washington DC area. She has a passion for international affairs and is committed to public diplomacy through a Department of State educational program where she serves as a liaison and program facilitator.  Tracey was one of the first broadcasters to graduate from the Poynter Institute for Media Studies and was a founding member of an international media council guided by the Press Council of Ireland.  Tracey advocates for orphans and is the proud adoptive mom of precious twins and "second mom" to a son in Kenya and a daughter in Japan.

In addition to his involvement in striking projects as a model, Gabriel’s integration of lens distortion, dream-like colors, and abstract expression in his camera work pushes past both social and technical norms.

Hannah Braden is an editorial assistant at ABRAMS, a publishing house in New York City. In her role, she supports three editors who specialize in cooking, craft, and interior design books. Alongside working full-time, she is a student at New York University's School of Professional Studies getting a master's degree in Publishing. Hannah is passionate about books (of course!) but also loves trying new restaurants, listening to music, and spending time with her friends.

Eric is the founder and owner of Soundlux Audio, a premier store for Hi-Fi stereo that carries carefully curated equipment in Miami, FL. Eric is passionate about music and great audio systems and used his personal consumer experience to launch Soundlux Audio. On his website, he shares, “I encountered too much emphasis on technical specifications and not enough on musicality. Rarely was there discussion of appropriate coordination between components and emotional connection to the music.” With his store in Miami, Eric hopes to pave the way for a new approach to audio systems.

Flo is a breakthrough singer, songwriter and producer. Flo is originally from Chile, has roots in Canada and Singapore, and is now based in Miami, Fl. Her musical creations incorporate sounds from genres varying from pop, country, and rock. Through the power of musical storytelling, Flo uses engaging melodies and vulnerable lyrics to share tributes of love, and journeys of growth from her own life.

With a focus on conscious capitalism, Co-Founder and Operator Veronica runs a plant-based restaurant at Love Life Cafe in Miami, Fl. Originally from Brazil, Veronica is a certified holistic health coach and has a culinary education from Robert Morse’s International School of Detoxification and Matthew Kenney’s Academy for Plant Based Sports Nutrition. She and her Co-Founder and partner Diego Tosoni pride themselves on serving customers delicious foods free of suffering, that does not harm the planet or guests’ health. Find their Instagram here!
